Department of Operational Development and Support
This department is responsible for developing and supporting operations so that they are efficiently conducted in accordance with the charter and in harmony with the State’s administration policy ambitions.
This task involves providing support to the Director-General and the departments in the areas of governance, the supply of expertise, the work environment, personnel issues, accounting, reporting, communication, information, procurement, law and administrative service.
Besides its continuous tasks, the department shall work with a number of special assignments in 2009:
- Development efforts to establish and build up a new, modern staff agency,
- Work out a management system for the agency,
- Prepare a plan for the agency’s supply of expertise and conduct management-development efforts,
- Work out processes for planning, budgeting and follow-up in such a way that cooperation with the Ministry of Enterprise, Energy and Communications is made more efficient,
- Develop effective channels for communication of the agency’s analyses and evaluations.
