The department carries out analyses and evaluations in order to understand the state’s role and efforts to promote the infrastructure that is important for Sweden’s capacity for innovation and industrial dynamism. Its main area of responsibility relates to issues concerning companies’ capital supply, industry’s framework conditions and agglomeration.

The department is also responsible for Growth Analysis’ venture capital statistics and for the authority’s database of state support for industry. It also has particular responsibility for a regional perspective being integrated into Growth Analysis’ work as a whole.
