The government can promote the greening of the economy in various ways through a combination of policies to support technology and drive the market. At the same time, there is still a lack of knowledge concerning which government actions can be justified and the best way to formulate them. Evaluations and analyses of the government’s initiatives to green the economy, primarily industrial transition processes, are therefore an important area of study for Growth Analysis. We will particularly study the driving forces behind development and dissemination of innovations that contribute to sustainable growth, but also follow up and analyse trade and industry’s environmental management as well as how the work of achieving the environmental quality targets is affecting development of the economy.
