This report analyzes two concrete examples of how India works with energy technology: The National Solar Mission which aims at increasing the production capacity of solar energy in India with 20, 000 MW until 2022, and the Perform Achieve and Trade program within the scope of the strategy National Mission on Enhanced Energy Efficiency.

Within these examples, observations are made which are relevant to take into consideration when developing Swedish politics in the areas of environmental engineering, renewable energy and reduced influence of the climate.
